Our straws, cups, lids, and utensils are made from PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoates) — a bioplastic produced through bacterial fermentation of canola oil. Our clamshell boxes are made from PLA (polylactic acid) derived from corn starch and sugarcane. None of our products contain petroleum inputs or microplastic residue.

Yes. All Pure Form Solution products are certified biodegradable and/or compostable by TÜV Austria under the internationally recognized OK Biobased, OK Compost, and OK Biodegradable standards — including marine, soil, and water environments. They break down completely without leaving harmful residue.

It biodegrades in marine, soil, and home composting environments. PLA (polylactic acid) is derived from corn starch or sugarcane sugars and is used in our clamshell boxes — it is certified for industrial composting. Both are 100% petroleum-free and contain no BPA or phthalates.
